Terms of use

GlamShap connects you with independent beauty pros. The pro is responsible for the service and you pay them directly; we handle the booking and disputes.

Version
1.1
In effect from
15 October 2026

A new version is coming. Version 1.2 takes effect on 1 November 2026. The text below is the version in effect now.

What changed in version 1.1: Cancellation: free cancellation now runs until 24 hours before the appointment. Patch tests: lash, tint and colour services need a patch test or your written waiver.

1. Who we are and what GlamShap is

GlamShap (Pty) Ltd runs a marketplace where clients post requests for beauty services and independent beauty pros send quotes. We are not a salon and the pros are not our employees.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older. One account per mobile number. Keep your PIN private; you are responsible for what is done with it until you tell us it is compromised.

3. Requests, quotes and bookings

Up to 5 pros may quote on a request. A quote is valid for 48 hours. When you accept a quote, a booking exists between you and the pro on the terms in the quote.

4. Paying

You pay the pro directly, outside the app, after each appointment — cash, card or EFT, as you agree. The price is the total in the quote you accepted. Posting a request and accepting a quote are free, and GlamShap never takes payment from you. When the pro marks the job done you have 24 hours to confirm; after that it confirms automatically.

5. Cancelling and not arriving

See the Cancellation policy and Reliability rules, which form part of these terms.

6. Conduct

Treat each other with respect. Do not arrange work outside the app with someone you met here. Phone numbers, email addresses and social handles stay hidden after a booking; calls are made through the app. A booking's chat closes 7 days after the appointment, or 24 hours after a cancellation, and stays readable. We may warn, restrict or close accounts that break these rules.

7. If something goes wrong

You have 7 days to raise a dispute, counted from the appointment, from a late cancellation or from a pro's no-show report. We decide on the booking record and both accounts, tell both of you the outcome and the reason, and you may ask once for a second review.

8. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

9. Changes

We tell you before these terms change and ask you to accept the new version before you continue.

Cancellation policy

Free until 24 hours before the appointment. After that, a late cancellation goes on your reliability record. Nothing is charged. If the pro cancels, nothing counts against you.

Version
1.1
In effect from
15 October 2026

What changed in version 1.1: Free cancellation now runs until 24 hours before the appointment.

1. Cancelling in time

If you cancel more than 24 hours before the appointment starts, it is free and nothing goes on your reliability record.

2. Cancelling late

If you cancel less than 24 hours before, it counts as a late cancellation on your reliability record, which pros see before they quote. Nothing is charged. Bookings you already have stay valid.

3. Not arriving

The pro waits 20 minutes at the agreed place and must try to reach you in the app. If you do not arrive, the pro may report a no-show. You have 24 hours to give your side; until then nothing is counted. If the no-show is confirmed, it goes on your reliability record. Nothing is charged.

4. When the pro cancels or does not arrive

Nothing counts against you and we help you find a replacement. A report that your pro did not arrive counts against the pro only after the pro has had 24 hours to respond, and not while it is disputed.

5. Your reliability record

Late cancellations and confirmed no-shows stay on it for 90 days, and pros see them before they quote. Only confirmed no-shows count toward a warning or a suspension: two bring a warning, four suspend your account for 30 days. A late cancellation never does. A reported no-show is counted only after your 24 hours to respond have passed or you have accepted it. Anything under dispute is not counted until it is decided. You can appeal.

6. Changing instead of cancelling

You can ask the pro to move the appointment. If they agree more than 24 hours before the original time, it does not count as a cancellation.

7. "Ready by" bookings

Where a booking is made for a time you must be ready by, such as makeup, the times in this policy count from the time the pro is due to arrive: free cancellation ends 24 hours before the arrival time, and the 20-minute wait starts at the arrival time.

Reliability rules

Late cancellations and no-shows go on your reliability record, which pros see before they quote. Nothing is charged: you pay your pro directly, and only for the work.

Version
1.1
In effect from
15 October 2026

What changed in version 1.1: No holding deposit: late cancellations and no-shows go on your reliability record instead.

1. What the reliability record is

A count of your late cancellations and confirmed no-shows over the last 90 days. It protects pros' time: they see it before they quote. It is not a charge and holds no money.

2. What goes on it

A cancellation less than 24 hours before the start time, and a no-show that is confirmed. Cancelling in good time, moving an appointment the pro agrees to, or a pro cancelling never counts.

3. Who sees it

Pros see the counts on your request before they quote. They do not see the bookings behind them or who reported them.

4. Nothing is charged

Posting, accepting and cancelling are free, and GlamShap never takes payment from you. You pay your pro directly after the appointment, and only for the work.

5. A warning, then a pause

Only confirmed no-shows count toward these steps; late cancellations stay on your record for pros to see but never do. When two no-shows count on your record we warn you. When four count, your account is suspended for 30 days: you cannot post requests or accept quotes, and bookings you already have stay valid.

6. Disputing an entry

You have 7 days, counted from the late cancellation or from the pro's no-show report. A reported no-show counts only after your 24 hours to respond have passed or you have accepted it, and anything under dispute is not counted until it is decided. If it goes your way, it is removed.

7. Closing your account

When you close your account, your record is kept without your name until its entries are 90 days old.
