What we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and your rights.
A new version is coming. Version 1.2 takes effect on . The text below is the version in effect now.
What changed in version 1.1: Added our SMS provider to the companies that process your data.
1. Responsible party
GlamShap (Pty) Ltd. Information Officer: privacy@glamshap.me.
2. What we collect, and from whom
From you: name, mobile number, email, addresses, beauty profile, requests, messages, reviews, photos. From your phone, with permission: push token and location.
3. Why, and on what basis
To perform our contract with you (account, matching, bookings, your reliability record), to meet legal duties (consumer and tax records), for our legitimate interest in safety and fraud prevention, and with your consent (marketing, public photos, precise location, health-related details).
4. Special personal information
Allergies and scalp, skin, nail or eye conditions are processed only with your explicit consent and shown only to a pro with a confirmed booking, for that booking.
5. Who receives it
The pro you book; pros who quote see your reliability counts; our SMS and hosting providers under written agreements; support staff handling your case; authorities where the law requires.
6. Transfers outside South Africa
Some data is hosted in the EU under agreements giving protection equal to POPIA.
7. How long we keep it
While your account is open. Chats: 12 months after a booking ends. Booking records: 5 years. Closed disputes and safety reports: 3 years.
8. Your rights
To access, correct or delete your information, to object, to withdraw a consent, and to opt out of direct marketing at any time.
